| Wiley D. Morgan/George D. Taylor Lawsuit Wiley D. Morgan lawsuit against George D. Taylor over horse theft on 10 May 1813 in Wilkes County, Georgia, USA.
Wiley D. Morgan is a minor and his guardian(?) is Elisha Wilkinson. Elisha Wilkinson knew William Morgan (both took part in the Battle of Kettle Creek). According to ancestry.com Orman Morgan is a brother of William Morgan (no documentation). Wiley D. Morgan is the son of Orman Morgan. William and Orman's father is Thomas Morgan of Newberry, SC. This would explain why Wiley was born in Newberry. |
